WASHINGTON, July 5 (DC Times Online) — Michael Dell, founder of Dell Technologies Inc. (NYSE: DELL), and his wife Susan Dell pledged $6.25 billion to help fund Trump Accounts for children, a White House-backed savings program that officials said will add $250 to each of 25 million eligible accounts as the nation marks its 250th anniversary.

The White House said the Dell contribution will go to American children age 10 and under who live in ZIP codes with median incomes below $150,000. The program also includes a $1,000 Treasury seed contribution for U.S. citizens born from Jan. 1, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2028.

According to the White House, the accounts are intended for long-term savings and can later be used for education, a first home or starting a business. The accounts remain under a guardian’s control until age 18.

The White House said contributions to Trump Accounts are scheduled to begin on July 4, 2026, and President Donald Trump joined the Dells to mark the launch. In a post on X, Michael Dell called the effort a “public-private partnership” that gives the next generation “a real stake in our economy and a path to the American Dream.”
