DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet has unveiled the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, calling it the most powerful Silverado ever and highlighting new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, a standard digital cockpit and a planned on-sale date later this year.

The company said the redesigned pickup will keep four powertrain choices. Along with the two new V8s, Chevrolet said the lineup will include the enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the class-exclusive Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel.

Chevrolet also said the 2027 Silverado 1500 offers the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class, though the company has not released horsepower or torque figures.

Inside, Chevrolet said every 2027 Silverado 1500 will include a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center. ZR2 and High Country models will add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, plus a head-up display and rear camera mirror, the company said.

Chevrolet listed seven available models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT. Pricing will be announced later this year, the company said.
